KAL announces investigation into ‘ramen rage’ leak

Korean Air Lines said yesterday it launched an internal investigation to find an employee who leaked the cabin report of the “ramen incident” in which a Posco Energy executive smacked a flight attendant with a magazine over quality of ramen.

This is the first time the nation’s largest flag carrier has officially addressed the well-publicized incident.

Although most criticism was of the executive, KAL was accused of allegedly leaking passenger information, which spread online. KAL said the leaked report didn’t include the executive’s personal information, although it contained details of his behavior.

“We feel responsible that our internal cabin report was leaked by someone,” KAL said in a statement. “We will actively upgrade our security regarding passengers’ information and also our customer service.”
