Iljin Display reports strong first-quarter performanceIljin Display saw improved performance in the first quarter improved thanks to brisk sales of 7-inch tablet PCs. According to the company, revenue grew 46 percent to 172.5 billion won while operating profits grew 3.9 percent to 14.7 billion won and net profits 18 percent to 16.8 billion won.
The company also projected that sales of tablet PCs will continue to grow.
Additionally, the display manufacturer said its new production plant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, will be ready for manufacturing in the second half of the year to meet growing global demand for tablet PCs.
