A natural complexion

“Summer,” right, one of four 15-foot fiberglass busts of human heads by artist Philip Haas, is currently on display at the New York Botanical Garden in Bronx, New York.

Haas was inspired by the “Four Seasons” portraits of 16th century Italian Renaissance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo (“Summer” among them is above). Their features are made of faux vegetation including nuts, grapes, fruit, flowers, bark, moss, leaves and twigs. [REUTERS]
