SK Group, partners release social innovation report

SK Group released a joint research report that provides six policy drivers of seeking social innovation through social enterprises in collaboration with Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University.

The report contains research and analysis of social enterprise policies available in 10 countries, including the United States, England, China and Peru, and case studies of 20 social enterprises around the world, according to the company

The report titled, “Breaking the Binary: Policy Guide to Scaling Social Innovation,” suggested six policies that policy makers and social enterprise entrepreneurs should consider in order to nurture healthy social enterprises.

Among six policy drivers include “growth and direct private capital,” “build market infrastructure and capacity,” and develop government capacity for action.”

The report written in English is available at www.weforum.org and www.schwabfound.org. SK Group said it will soon publish Korean version to help more policy makers and businessmen access the information with convenience.
