Hyundai Mobis cruises past a million Chrysler chassis
Hyundai Mobis, the nation’s leading auto parts maker affiliated with Hyundai Motor Group, said yesterday its production of complete chassis modules for U.S. automaker Chrysler surpassed the one-million mark earlier this month. The company said the milestone was reached seven years after it supplied its first module for the Jeep Wrangler. Since 2010, the company also has supplied front and rear chassis modules for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango.Hyundai Mobis said the recent milestone highlights its competitiveness in the global market. At present, the company can produce 520,000 complete chassis modules per year through its plants in Ohio and Michigan.
