Kim Young-ki, head of the National Tax Service (NTS) investigation department, announces yesterday that the agency will investigate 23 businesses and individuals on possible offshore tax evasion at locations including the Virgin Islands. The NTS has completed a probe of 83 offshore tax evasion cases and collected nearly 480 billion won ($424 million). NTS employees yesterday raided the offices of Hyosung Group and OCI. The online news organization Newstapa reported last week that OCI Chairman Lee Soo-young and his wife set up shell companies in tax havens. Provided by the agency
