Hyundai Motor’s Ulsan, Asan plants normalized from today

Hyundai Motor said yesterday that its weekend overtime production in Ulsan and Asan plant will be completely normalized from today, although the truck assembly line in the Jeonju plant still refuses to join weekend overtime work.

According to the nation’s largest automaker, labor union members at the Ulsan plant’s first factory decided to start weekend overtime work from today. The first factory manufactures the Accent and Veloster.

The second, fourth and fifth factories of the Ulsan plant have been in weekend production since May 25, while the third plant has been working weekends since June 1. Hyundai’s factories for manufacturing engines and transmissions have been operating weekends since May 11.
