Korean Air to expand flights to Canada later this month

Korean Air Lines, the nation’s largest carrier under Hanjin Group, said yesterday it will expand flights to Canada later this month for summer vacation season.

According to KAL, flights to Vancouver will be operated daily from June 20 and to Toronto from June 24. These routes currently operate five times a week.

KAL said the Vancouver flight will use a 365-seat B747-400 aircraft, an upgrade from the current 261-seat B777-200 airplane. The Toronto flight will continue to use the B77-200.

The airline said that not only tourists, but business travelers are likely increase following as a result of the additional flights.
