Nigeria beats Tahiti at Confederations Cup

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil - Tahiti avoided humiliation by scoring a goal in a 6-1 loss to Nigeria on Monday at the Confederations Cup.
Jonathan Tehau headed in a goal early in the second half at the Mineirao Stadium to reduce the deficit to 3-1. Nnamdi Oduamadi scored a hat-trick for the African champions, while Elderson Echiejile added two more.
Tehau also scored an own-goal.
