Saturday: Jazz vocalist Laura Figi is coming to Korea to mark the 20th anniversary of her debut. She will perform with Korean band Jazzpark Bigband led by saxophonist Lee In-Kwan. As one of the most-loved jazz singers in Korea, Figi is well known for her songs “Let There Be Love” from the Korean film “Art Museum By The Zoo,” “Dream A Little Dream,” and “I Love You For Sentimental Reason” from the film “French Kiss.”

To Dec. 13: The performance is based on the recorded album “The Tale of Chunhyang,” released by record company Victor in 1937. Several singers of pansori (traditional narrative singing) will revive the recorded music, which tells the story of Chunhyang, the heroine of one of the country’s best-known love stories.
The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month, except for October, when it will be held on the fourth Friday.

July 3 to July 27: Based on four themes - legend, challenge, crossover and choice - the music festival will be held for the fourth time. For four weeks, there will be a variety of events, including the concert “Oriental Scenery” by gayageum (traditional Korean zither-like instrument with 12 strings) player Hwang Byeong-ki, photographer Bae Byung-woo, and conductor and pianist Yang Bang-ean.

Tickets for indoor concerts are 30,000 won, while outdoor concerts are free.

July 26 to 28: Performers include alternative rock bands Stereophonics and My Bloody Valentine; the electronic band Idiotape; Roy Kim, winner of “Super Star K4”; and The Cure.
The festival starts on Friday and runs to Sunday, with camping available from Thursday night.
One-day tickets cost 120,000 won, and three-day tickets are 230,000 won. Camping tickets, only available for three-day ticket holders, start at 245,000 won.

Aug. 2 to 4: An array of bands will perform at this three-day festival. Korean rock pioneer Deulgukhwa, English alternative rock band Suede, American rock band Fall Out Boy, Hot Potato and Dickpunks are all on the schedule.
The festival starts at 10 a.m. Friday and runs until Sunday.
Three-day tickets are 140,000 won until this Friday. One-day, two-day and camping tickets will soon be made available.
