Banking on Indonesia
From left, Cho Yong-woo, head of Korea Exchange Bank’s Indonesian operation, is joined by Shin Kee-yup, Korean Association chairman, and Ha Yeon-su, chairman of the Tangerang Korean Association, to celebrate the opening of KEB’s Indonesia subsidiary in Teluk, 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) west of Jakarta. It is the bank’s fourth office in Indonesia. KEB has been aggressively expanding overseas with a goal to increase its foreign earnings to 15 percent of overall revenue by 2015.
