Government to offer help with Afghan transport system
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said yesterday it will support the construction of a transportation system in Afghanistan.A memorandum of understanding (MOU) is scheduled to be signed today following a visit by Afghanistan Minister?of?Transport?and Civil Aviation Daud Ali?Najafi.
The MOU was requested by Afghanistan officials when they observed Korea’s transportation system during their visit to attend the inauguration of President Park Geun-hye February.
The ministry said that along with other local companies, it will help the Afghanistan government by passing on its knowledge and experience in transportation policies and technologies.
The ministry also emphasized that the MOU will be a stepping stone to help Afghanistan’s overall reconstruction.
