Singers to sing anthem at MLB game

Three members of Girls’ Generation will sing the Korean national anthem at the July 29 baseball game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, according to the group’s agency, SM Entertainment.

The teams planned the event to mark the matchup between two Korean players: pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the Dodgers and outfielder Choo Shin-soo of the Reds.

“As the entire group is not available to go abroad because of their engagements in Korea, about three members are expected to attend the match,” SM entertainment said.

Meanwhile, SNSD’s Tiffany threw the opening pitch for the May 6 game between the Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium. She danced to music to warm up but threw a weird pitch that generated a big laugh. By Ahn Joo-hee
