Daelim Industrial gets $825 million job in Saudi Arabia

Daelim Industrial said yesterday it won a $825 million order from Saudi Arabia to construct a petrochemical plant.

According to Daelim, the company will build a petrochemical plant that can produce 3,300 tons of ammonia per day in Ras Al Khair, which is 80 kilometers (49 miles) north of Jubeil. The construction is scheduled to be completed by September 2016.

Daelim will build the project on a lump sum, turnkey basis, managing all aspects from engineering to construction.

The builders said the order from Saudi Arabia proves its competitiveness as the Middle East nation requires top construction standards. With the order, Daelim is currently operating 13 projects worth $8 billion in Saudi Arabia.
