Listen up, lettuce lovers
The Lotte Mart store in Seoul Station yesterday introduces environmentally friendly lettuce grown indoors with light-emitting diodes and nutrients instead of sunlight and soil. The lettuce plants sell for 5,000 won ($4.49) for 300 grams (10.6 ounces), or three plants, and can be grown at home. The lettuce can be harvested two to three times and it takes about 20 to 25 days each time. [NEWSIS]
