[Sponsored Report] IBK maintains motto of helping SMEs grow

Launched in 2011, an IBK project intended to boost SMEs matches one professional business consultant to a company for as long as six weeks.

Even after the on-site inspection period, the consultant keeps in touch with the company, providing feedback.

The largest such project by banks, IBK’s initiative has helped more than 1,000 SMEs over two years. Experts from several international consulting agencies, accounting firms and the National Tax Service take part in the project. The consultants will offer continuing advice on management, taxes and related law.

IBK also established a microcredit bank in 2009, first as a government-run bank to support people with low incomes and poor credit.

It has now been expanded to ge a part of 21 branches across the country. The loans are categorized depending on needs such as daily living expenses, business equipment and actual capital bases to revive business.

Benefits and conditions also differ among businesses.
