Asiana Airlines opens second hangar at Incheon

Asiana Airlines opened its second hangar at Incheon International Airport yesterday after investing 170 billion won ($15.13 million) from March 2011.

The new hangar is on a 62,060- square-meter (668,008 square-foot) site and can accommodate two large aircraft, such as Airbus 380 or Boeing 747-400, and one small plane at the same time. The company’s first hangar was able to accommodate one big aircraft.

The nation’s second-largest flag carrier said the new hangar will save $16 million a year and create 100 jobs.
