Veteran singers gather for a late-night recording session
As Cho and fellow singers sang together to record one of Cho’s hit songs, they expressed their excitement even though the recordings lasted late into the night.
Cho, who is performing for the first time at the festival, has decided not to receive payment from the organizer for his performance. Instead, he has asked to feature more indie bands as part of festival so that more musicians can have time to interact with the public.
“Because I started my music career from being in a band, I know how hard it is for a band to survive,” Cho said, according to local media reports. “I wanted to provide some opportunities to them because it feels as if I’m looking at myself when I was young.”
