Hyundai shipbuilding group vows to aid suppliers’ firms

Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, the nation’s top shipbuilder, has come out with measures to help its suppliers’ cooperative firms yesterday in order to boost shared growth and global competition.

The group, which owns Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, said it will actively support a business group consisting of 11 CEOs of its suppliers to be established next month.

HHI will offer opportunities for them to join technical development projects and support their participation in overseas business fairs. HHI, which has about 3,000 suppliers working with the group, also rewarded the top 30 cooperative firms yesterday for their contributions.
