Kumho T&L finishes building coal facility in South Jeolla
Kumho Petrochemical said yesterday its affiliate, Kumho T&L, has completed the building of coal loading and offloading facilities at Yeocheon coal pier in Yeosu, South Jeolla.It took six years to complete after the Yeosu Regional Maritime Affairs and Port Office ordered the project in September 2007. Kumho Petrochemical had used Gwangyang Port to supply bituminous coal for its combined heat power plant operation, but to save logistics cost, it established Kumho T&L to finish the project. Kumho Petrochemical said the new facility will generate 50 billion won ($46 million) of annual sales from next year.
