Jin Air to inaugurate flight to Chiang Mai on Oct. 30

Jin Air, the nation’s second-largest low-cost carrier, said yesterday it will fly to Chiang Mai, Thailand, from Incheon International Airport beginning Oct. 30.

The company opened reservations for the flight yesterday.

The affiliate of Korean Air Lines will operate a 180-seat B737-800 aircraft and fly to Chiang Mai on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays.

With the addition of the Chiang Mai route, Jin Air now flies to five cities in Southeast Asia, the most of any local low-cost carrier. It also became the first to operate regular flights to Chiang Mai.
