Meeting in New York

JoongAng Media Network Chairman Hong Seok-hyun, right, and Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr., chairman of The New York Times Company, pose for a photo during a meeting Wednesday at The New York Times headquarters in New York. During the meeting, the two chairmen agreed to seek greater cooperation between the two media groups.

Sulzberger expressed his satisfaction with the achievements of the International Herald Tribune-Korea JoongAng Daily, which has been published in Korea since 2000 under a partnership with the JoongAng Media Network, and suggested that such cooperation be increased.

Starting Oct. 15, The International Herald Tribune, the global edition of The New York Times, will be renamed “The International New York Times.”
