Venerable Seonhae moves a wooden tablet (of the Tripitaka Koreana) (from its storage site) (at Haein Temple) (for display) (at the Tripitaka Koreana Festival), {happening (today) (through Nov. 10), (near the temple)}.
“우선 첫 문장의 뼈대를 살펴보면 주어는 Venerable Seonhae(선해 스님이), 서술어는 moves(옮기고 있다), 목적어는 a wooden tablet(목장경)입니다. 문장 전체의 해석은 ‘오늘부터 11월 10일까지 해인사 근방에서 열리는 고려대장경 축제에 전시하기 위해 선해 스님이 대장경판을 보관 장소로부터 옮기고 있다’입니다.
The Tripitaka Koreana, (a collection) (of more than 81,000 wooden tablets) (of Buddhist writings), was completed (in 1251).
“두 번째 문장은 ‘불교의 가르침을 목장경을 팔만 천 개 이상을 모아놓은 고려 대장경이 1251년에 완성되었다’는 내용입니다."
(Even) the oldest tablets are (well) preserved (after 750 years).
“세 번째 문장은 ‘가장 오래된 장경판들도 750년이 지난 후에도 잘 보존되어 있다’는 내용입니다..”
The tablets, the pavilion {that houses them} and the temple (itself) were (all) added (to the Unesco World Heritage list) (in 1995). Eight (of the tablets) will be on display (at the festival), {which was organized (by the temple and the provincial and county governments)}.
“네 번째 문장은 ‘이 대장경판과 보관장소인 장경판전 그리고 해인사 자체가 모두 1995년에 유네스코 문화유산 목록에 등재되었다’는 내용이고 마지막 문장은 ‘장경판 8개가 축제에서 전시될 예정인데 이 행사는 해인사와 도와 군이 마련한 것’이라는 내용입니다.
