G-Dragon goes 3-D

Top K-pop group Big Bang has released many concert videos since they formed in 2007, but now their member G-Dragon is taking the live video to the next level, with a theatrical movie - in 3-D

The flamboyant icon has held 26 concerts in eight countries since kicking off his world tour in March, recording each one to create a new live concert movie, titled “One of a Kind 3-D: G-Dragon 2013 First World Tour.”

The shows were reportedly filmed using 24 cameras, including several 3-D cameras, to capture the concert experience as fully as possible.

The movie also features interviews with many celebrities and performances by the other members of Big Bang.

In addition, the movie will feature many songs released by G-Dragon from his latest album, “Coup D’Etat,” which came out in September, including the first performance of his hit “Crooked.” All told, 14 songs will be a part of the movie.

The movie is scheduled to come out in Japan first, on Oct. 26, on about 23 screens.

It will then open in Korea on Oct. 31, with other dates around Asia expected to be announced shortly, including Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
