'K-Pop Star 2' contestant debuts as professional singer

Shin Ji-hun, a former contestant on the SBS survival audition program "K-Pop Star 2," will make a debut as a professional singer, according to Ilgan Sports, an affiliate of the Korea JoongAng Daily.

The 15-year-old Shin, who is also a figure skater, has recently completed recording her new song and filming a new music video.

"Since the audition, she has been practicing figure skating and getting vocal training," an industry source said, according to the report. "Since she is still young and has a lot of dreams, she has many options open to her and is putting in her best efforts."

Shin signed a management contract with Cube DC, a label affiliated with Cube Entertainment that houses boy group Beast and girl group 4Minute.
