[NEW RELEASES] MONDAY KIZ

The album’s lead-off track, “You,” is the kind of song you might want to hear at your wedding, as the trio sings sweetly of love eternal. On the first track, “The Night of First Snowfall,” the low-toned voice of underground rapper Paloalto fits surprisingly well with the voices of other three. The fifth track, “Love Runs Away,” is a mid-tempo song about longing for a lover who has left. In contrast to the lyrics, the relatively speedy clip of the music makes for an enjoyable listen.
Overall, the album presents great consistency in its content, even while experimenting with different styles.
Unfortunately, the usual limits of the Korean male ballad group once again rein. All the songs, save “You,” focus on yearning to reunite with distant loves, regretting breakups.
