Crayon Pop will hold free concert

The free concert titled “Popcon” - as in “Crayon Pop” and “concert” - will be held on Wednesday at Nuritkum Square in Digital Media City, northwestern Seoul.
The group’s “Bar Bar Bar” video, with its deliberately dorky style, has been viewed on YouTube more than 10 million times since was released in June, inspiring countless parodies along the way. The group has even been written about in Western publications, such as Billboard, and signed an international distribution deal with Sony Music.
In addition to their catchy, silly hit, the Crayon Pop members said they were adding some ballads to their act, trying to round out the group’s repertoire.
The concert will also be aired on TV on Nov. 11 on the cable channel MBC Music.
