Dongbu Daewoo is selling ovens to Europe, Mexico
Dongbu Daewoo Electronics said yesterday that cumulative sales of its energy-saving microwave oven, Zero On, have surpassed 400,000 since its release two years ago.The Zero On, which promises savings of electricity of up to 13,000 won ($12.26) per year, sold more than 200,000 units this year, after it hit the 200,000 sales mark at the end of last year. Many were sold overseas, including around 100,000 units in Mexico, 30,000 in the UK and 20,000 in the Czech Republic, the company said.
The microwave comes in two types: a 24-liter capacity convection model priced at 259,000 won and a 20-liter capacity standard model priced at 89,000 won.
