Asia Society Korea Center celebrates fifth anniversary
Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin attended the fifth anniversary of the Asia Society Korea Center yesterday at Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, central Seoul. The center has been chaired by Shin since its establishment.Asia Society is a nonprofit foundation created to strengthen exchanges and understanding between the United States and Asia by John D. Rockefeller III in 1956.
The event was attended by 300 officials, including society Co-chairman Ronnie C. Chan and President Josette Sherman, and U.S. Ambassador to Korea Sung Kim.
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin won an achievement award in recognition of promoting Korea to the international community.
