Hyundai Mipo Dockyard gets a $207 million order

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, a small affiliate of the nation’s top shipbuilder, Hyundai Heavy Industries, said in a regulatory filing yesterday it won a 222.1 billion won ($207 million) order from a company in the Marshall Islands to manufacture six product carriers. The company is contracted to deliver the ships by July 31, 2015.
With the news, the stock price of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard rose 3.64 percent to 185,000 won on the Seoul bourse. The company has already exceeded its annual target of winning a total of $3.2 billion orders.
