Student investigated in idol hackings
Daegu police are investigating an 18-year-old high school student who has been accused of hacking into the Twitter account of one member of the popular K-pop group Super Junior.The student allegedly uploaded 10 naked photos of his girlfriend to Eunhyuk’s Twitter account around 4 p.m. on Nov. 11, making it look like the star had created the post.
He is also accused of hacking the Cyworld home page of Sungmin, posting 10 photos of the same woman.
But the police say they are not ready to decide whether they will request an arrest warrant yet.
The group’s agency, SM Entertainment, told local media that it would take appropriate action based on the final results of the police investigation.
