Posco plans to create 1,000 high-level part-time jobs
Posco, the nation’s largest steelmaker, said yesterday it will offer 1,000 jobs through a time-selective working-hour system.
Posco said affiliates like Posco Engineering and Construction, Daewoo International and Posco Energy will offer high-level part-time jobs in sales and service.
The company will first consider women who retired from the job market after marriage and older people.
Those who get the jobs can work four to six hours a day, while their salary is prorated.
Meanwhile, Posco said current employees can apply for the new time-selective system that would allow them to reduce their work hours while retaining their job title, seniority and other benefits.
