Kia, Hyundai U.S. finance units rank high in consumer survey

Hyundai Capital America, owned by the country’s second-largest conglomerate, said on Monday that it was given a high ranking by J.D. Power and Associates in its U.S. Consumer Financing Satisfaction study. According to the company, Kia Motors Finance received 851 out of 1,000 points from consumers to rank first in the mass market segment, while Hyundai Motor Finance received 848 points, ranking third.

The survey asks consumers in the United States about their overall satisfaction with the financial service they received from the day they purchased their cars and through up to seven years of ownership.

The company said that in the same survey last year, Hyundai Motor Finance ranked sixth and Kia Motors Finance was not on the list. An official from the company said the good performance by Hyundai Capital America is based on steady innovation in service.
