Government agrees to donate $15 million to the IMF
The Korean government will donate $15 million to the International Monetary Fund, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance said yesterday. Minister Hyun Oh-seok and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde signed an agreement to establish a fund to support technological cooperation between Korea and the international organization in Seoul during Lagarde’s visit to the city. The Korean government will offer $3 million every year for the next five years.
