Samsung Engineering secures $770 million Malaysia project
Samsung Engineering, a builder under Samsung Group, said yesterday it won a $770 million project in Malaysia to build a gas plant.
The nation’s 11th-largest builder said it secured the Terengganu Gas Terminal project issued by Malaysia’s Petronas Carigali and United States’ HESS.
The contract-signing ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
The project is to build a gas plant in Kerteh industrial complex, 260 kilometers (161 miles) northeast of Kuala Lumpur. Samsung Engineering aims to finish construction by September 2016 under the lump sum turn-key system, which includes engineering, procurement, construction and operational testing.
