Pernod Richard Korea honored for drunken-driving initiative

Whiskey importer Pernod Ricard Korea was honored Thursday by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra) for creativity in corporate social responsibility activities.
Pernod Ricard Korea was praised for its anti-drunken-driving “Smart Driving Campaign” that has been held since 2007.
Pernod Ricard Korea began the campaign as an initiative to raise awareness of drunken driving and has held numerous performances and exhibitions, including displaying a actual vehicles wrapped in bandages at highway rest areas, as well as a flash-mob performances at tourist attractions around Seoul.
“As a leader in the alcohol business, Pernod Ricard Korea will enhance corporate social responsibility while promoting responsible drinking,” said Yoo Ho-sung, a company official who attended the ceremony.
Other participants who were recognized by the organization included L’Oreal Korea, DHL Korea, Wilo Pumps, FRL Korea and Renault Samsung Motor.
