Kumho Petrochemical enters the door-and-window business
Kumho Petrochemical (KKPC) said yesterday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Dongyang Gangchul to cooperate in the door-and-window material business.The company said the deal includes sharing both companies’ production facilities. For instance, KKPC will use the aluminum press facilities of Dongyang, the nation’s top aluminum processor, while Dongyang will use KKPC’s plant for plastic materials.
The deal also stipulates that both companies will sell each other’s products and cooperate in aluminum-plastic compound R&D.
KKPC entered the construction material business in 2009 after establishing its Hugreen brand. Sales from its door-and-window material business have grown 300 percent in the past three years.
