With Skoda contract, Nexen is on a roll in European market
Nexen Tire, the nation’s third-largest tire manufacturer, said it will supply tires for Skoda’s Octavia and Rapid models.The company said that its “N’Blue HD” tires will be delivered to Skoda’s Mlada Boleslav plant in the Czech Republic and installed on Octavia and Rapid models headed for showrooms in Europe.
Octavia is the best-selling model of Skoda, the Czech automaker that is under the Volkswagen Group.
The popular midsize sedan accounted for 30 percent of the company’s total sales.
Nexen, which earlier this month inked a deal to supply tires for Volkswagen Golfs, said that it wants to increase its brand recognition in the European market with the latest contract.
