Bae Yong-joon: I’m dating someone

Nikkan Sports, a leading Japanese newspaper, reported yesterday that Bae started dating someone a few months ago. “She is a daughter of a famous Korean CEO,” wrote Nikkan Sports, referring to the new girlfriend. “They furthered their relationship carefully after meeting each other in a dinner with their acquaintance few months ago.”
Bae’s girlfriend is known to be 14 years younger than 41-year-old Bae. She is currently spending time in Korea after having lived in the United States for a while.
“It is true that Bae is dating,” said a Keyeast official. “But it is difficult to disclose detailed information about [the girlfriend] since she is not a public figure.”
According to the report, Bae visited Japan with his girlfriend to attend the wedding reception of an acquaintance of his. The couple also enjoyed shopping together in Tokyo. When they returned to Korea via Haneda Airport they wore matching black hats, displaying an affection for each other.
Bae didn’t officially date anyone after his last relationship with Lee Sa-gan, a director of commercial films and music videos.
This is Bae’s first official relationship in nine years.
