In celebration of the New Year, models in hanbok (traditional Korean garments) display sliced rice cakes for tteokguk (rice cake soup) yesterday at E-Mart’s Yongsan branch in central Seoul. The rice cakes, which include a traditional medicinal herb, are soft brown. The herb, called white hasuo, keeps hair healthy and prevents hair loss. [NEWSIS]
