KAL announces code-sharing pact with Russian carrier

Korean Air Lines said yesterday that it has formed a new code-sharing partnership with Russia’s Aurora Airlines on the Incheon-Sakhalinsk route. According to the company, the flight will operate Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday using the 110-seat Boeing 737. Aurora is a subsidiary of Aeroflot established after the merger two months ago of SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Air. A visa-free agreement between Korea and Russia took effect this month.
