Government report shows airline traffic soared in 2013The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said yesterday that Korea’s airline traffic last year was a record high of slightly more than 585,000 flights, up 6 percent from 2012. There were 380,744 international flights last year, up 6.6 percent from 2012, while domestic flights increased 5 percent to 204,273.
Jeju International Airport marked the highest growth rate with an 8.4 percent increase in flights, followed by Incheon International Airport at 6.6 percent.
