‘Hidden Singer’ ends 2nd season

JTBC’s hit program “Hidden Singer” completed its second season Saturday evening and will be returning for a third in August, according to the channel.

The program pits famous singers competing against imposters, all hidden behind a curtain so viewers do not know who is the professional. The second season began on Oct. 12 and featured such veteran singers as Lim Chang-jeong, Yoon Do-hyun and Park Jin-young.

Unlike the first season, when the pro won every episode, several big names lost in season two, outdone by their amateur imitators.

The final episode of the second season featured a showdown between top imposters, billed as a fight to find the “King of Kings.”

Kim Jin-ho, who nearly out-sung singer Wheesung earlier in the season, became the “King of Kings” after beating other amateurs while imitating Lim Chang-jung and Jo Sung-mo. Kim took home 20 million won ($18,511) as a reward for his vocal prowess.
