Top tourism destinations like Seoul, Jeju, Mount Seorak and the eastern coastal regions are enjoying better times thanks to the surge of Chinese visitors./ 서울, 제주, 설악산, 동해안과 같은 주요 관광지는 중국 관광객의 급증으로 즐거운 시절을 보내고 있다/ Chinese women do their hair in Korean beauty salons and shop in downtown Myeongdong and Gangnam./ 중국 여성 관광객들은 명동과 강남과 같은 다운타운에 있는 한국 미용실에게 머리를 하고 있다/ They are often seen parading through the posh neighborhoods of Apgujeong-dong, Cheongdam-dong and Sinsa-dong in southern Seoul and in hotbed areas known for their cosmetic surgery clinics./ 중국 관광객들이 성형외과가 밀집되어 있는 강남 지역에 있는 압구정동, 청담동, 신사동과 같은 상류층 지역을 활보하며 다니는 것을 쉽게 볼 수 있다/

Instead of merely resorting to sightseeing and shopping, the industry should join up with other service sectors to develop tourism programs that Koreans are popular for, such as entertainment, fashion, beauty, food and spa packages or other healing experiences./ 단순히 관광지를 둘러보거나 쇼핑하는 것 대신에 엔터테인먼트, 패션, 미용, 음식, 스파, 힐링 체험과 같은 한국인들에게 인기 있는 관광 프로그램을 개발하기 위해 업계는 다른 서비스 부문과 공동 노력을 해야 할 것이다/ Of an average $2,300 a Chinese resident spent in Korea, $1,400 has been spent to purchase goods from Korea./ 중국 관광객이 한국에서 쓰는 2,300달러 중에서 평균 1,400달러가 한국산 제품을 구입하는 비용이다/ The consumer industry should be better prepared to entice and greet Chinese visitors./ 소비 업계는 중국 관광객을 유인하여 맞이하기 위해 더 많은 준비를 해야 할 것이다/ More high-end tourism and shopping programs should be developed in order to meet the growing sophisticated taste of wealthy Chinese tourists./ 부유한 중국 관광객의 증가하고 있는 세련된 기호를 충족시키기 위해서 더 수준 높은 관광 상품과 쇼핑프로그램을 개발해야 할 것이다/ Authorities from various offices should join in to develop new products and marketing strategies targeting the Chinese./ 다양한 당국자들은 중국인들을 목표로 하는 마케팅 전략과 새로운 상품을 개발하기 위해 함께 노력해야 할 것이다/

Korea now has become one of the favorite overseas destinations for Chinese tourists./ 한국은 이제 중국 관광객이 선호하는 해외 관광지 중의 하나가 되었다/ This year, Korea will see more than four million Chinese visitors./ 올 해 한국은 4백만명 이상의 중국 관광객을 맞이하게 될 것이다/ It could be an opportunity and a challenge for our services industry./ 이것은 우리나라 서비스 업계를 위한 기회이자 도전이 될 것이다/ Tourism is also the best civilian-level diplomatic means to improve the image and reputation of our country and its people./ 관광산업은 또한 우리나라와 국민의 이미지와 평판을 개선하기 위한 시민 차원의 가장 좋은 외교적인 수단이기도 하다/ The government and the private sector should join forces to make most of the momentum./ 정부와 민간 부문은 관광산업의 전기를 마련하기 위해 공동 노력을 해야 할 것이다/
