Volvo Construction Equipment unveils simulator for excavatorVolvo Construction Equipment Korea said yesterday it has become the first local company to develop a real-time virtual machine simulator (VMS) that allows drivers to test its excavators.
The company said the simulator will boost product quality and reduce the development time for new products.
The simulator is based on a 48-ton excavator.
Volvo Construction Equipment Korea said it has also established a test environment in which its simulator can connect with excavators’ electronic control units to test their software.
