STX signs deal, is tasked with building 12 crude oil tankers
STX Offshore and Shipbuilding announced yesterday that it had secured a 620 billion won ($578 million) order to build 12 crude oil tankers.The deal was signed with Singapore’s Navig8 Product Tankers on Friday, the company said, with an option including four more vessels.
It will have to deliver the 12 tankers, each weighing 74,000 tons deadweight, by 2016.
