Samsung the worldwide leader for Android mobile device use

About 65 percent of Android-based mobile devices now in use in the world are Samsung Electronics products, according to a Localytics, a market research firm. The Galaxy S series makes up nearly 30 percent of all Android devices, which also includes the tablet PC, it said. The Galaxy S3 accounts for the largest chunk of devices for a single brand, with 15 percent, followed by the Galaxy S4 at 10 percent.
In a February 2013 report by Localytics, by device, the Galaxy S3 had 9.2 percent, followed by the Galaxy S2 at 8.2 percent. The Galaxy S5, which Samsung unveiled last week during the Mobile World Congress, is set for release next month.
