SHINee, Infinite members team up

Two of the biggest K-pop groups in Korea have combined to create a fascinating new subgroup named To Heart, consisting of Nam Woo-hyun from the group Infinite and Key from SHINee. To Heart’s first release, “The 1st Mini Album,” was revealed yesterday at noon.

The six-track mini-album’s lead-off track is “Delicious,” an upbeat and lively turn with a strong 1980s influence. It was a collaboration between the producer Sweetune, who crafted most of Kara’s hits, such as “Pretty Girl,” and “Honey,” and Sean Alexander, who wrote the lyrics for SHINee’s song “Amigo.”

The To Heart teaser video was revealed on March 4. It includes colorful images and cartoon figures depicting Woo-hyun and Key, whose real name is Kim Ki-bum.

At a promotional event yesterday at 7 p.m. at the COEX mall in Samseong-dong in southern Seoul, the two members showcased “Delicious,” and its music video was unveiled for the first time.

To Heart’s music video was made by Hwang Soo-ah, who created the videos for IU’s “Good Days,” and Ga-in’s “Bloom.”

SHINee’s management company, SM Entertainment, last year bought Woollim Entertainment, the company behind Infinite.
