Hyundai Motor apologizes for Sonata mileage statement
Hyundai Motor yesterday issued a public apology for misleading information about its latest LF Sonata midsize, saying the seventh-generation model’s fuel efficiency is actually 12.1 kilometers per liter (28.4 miles per gallon).The automaker said earlier this month the Sonata gets 12.6 kilometers per liter, but apparently this figure was based on its own test. The fuel efficiency after government certification was 0.5 kilometer per liter lower.
