K.Will slated for joint concert

Ballad singer K.Will, whose real name is Kim Hyung-soo, will hold a joint concert in May with Brian McKnight, an American Grammy-nominated R&B singer, local media reported yesterday.

“K.Will has always considered Brian McKnight as his vocal mentor, and the collaboration between the two great singers will be worthwhile to watch,” said an official from the production company Earth, Wind & Water.

The two singers’ joint performance, under the name, “Brian McKnight & K.Will” will take place May 11 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, located in southeastern Seoul.

The 44-year-old American pop singer who made his debut in 1991 has collaborated with Korean singers before, including Kim Bum-soo, Lim Jung-hee and Tae-yang from Big Bang. He has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.

Tickets for the concert will be available starting today at 2 p.m. from Interpark. Prices range between 77,000 won ($71) and 132,000 won.
